Looped In. Chicago Loop Alliance
According to the Chicago Loop Alliance, their mission is "to strengthen the Loop’s competitive position as a mixed-use destination and contribute to Chicago’s standing as a world-class city and tourist attraction." It is also their goal to create and sustain partnerships with member businesses and to provide a platform for them to network and grow. This is why the Leadership Forum Series, the "Looped In" networking events and the Pop Up Art Loop Series were created. All are inspiring programs and events that bring members together to provide and exchange educational and beneficial information. CLA approached us to create a series of logos for these programs that demonstrate a unified brand identity and work within their existing corporate branding. The typographical treatment of "Looped In" and "Leadership Forum" is architectural in feeling and uses CLA's existing green color palette. The Pop Up Art Loop logo also uses these colors, but the design of the logo is reflective of walls that "pop up" to create a space.
In addition, CLA asked us to create an identity for their most popular program, Winter WonderLoop. This consumer program was designed to draw in tourists and locals to patronize Loop businesses during the bustling holiday season. Restaurants, retailers and other member businesses promoted special offers via the website and created a one-stop place for families to find fun and interesting activities to do in the district during the busy season. The design of this logo was meant to be playful and represent the holiday season without a denominational focus. The colors reflect this direction and the campaign appeared in various formats all over the city.
