Magnificent Milestones. GNMAA

The Magnificent Mile ®, the stretch of Chicago’s North Michigan Avenue, is one of the world’s most vibrant cityscapes. In order to capture the energy of the corridor, we designed an annual report for the Greater North Michigan Avenue Association that recreates the experience of strolling the street by incorporating a variety of classic images, varied textures and contrasting colors that make the photos pop off the page. The report’s design marks each set of accomplishments of the Association’s past year with a landmark on the mile, including the Watertower, Hancock Building, Michigan Avenue Bridge, Allerton, Wrigley Building and Tribune Tower. We designed a graphic reminiscent of the bridge truss links to house each landmark image and to symbolize the Association’s strong connections that form its foundation. The 40-page annual has earned much praise for its clean design and elegance distinguished by subtle artistry.
