Un-common Thread. Hart Schaffner Marx®
To inspire sales in a relatively lackluster retail marketplace for men’s tailored clothing,
we streamlined 100 pages of internal information into the exciting Thread, a bi-annual
newsletter designed to educate and excite Dillard’s menswear employees. We made
the ordinary information extraordinary with stunning photography, in-depth product
information and catchy tips, trivia and tag lines. The newsletter gave Hartmarx a direct
line of communication to the sales floor in over 300 Dillard's stores. Thread consistently
delivered noticeable increases in department store traffic and better sell-throughs every
season for all of the company’s tailored clothing brands.
